Micah's journey to love: A look back at 2024 Date Show

Date show contestants on stageThree female contestants competed for Micah Ulysse’s heart at the fourth annual DA Date Show at the Mountainlair on Friday during WVUp All Night.

The ladies, Ella Mehring, Maggie Pibal and Molly Follmer took to the stage and answered questions asked by U92 Sports Director and host Tannor Enyart, ranging from ‘What is your dream car?’ to ‘What is your ideal date?’

During the show, contestants remained hidden from Ulysse until he made his decision. The goal of the show is for the spotlight single, Ulysse, to choose someone blindly to take on a free date based on how well their responses align with what he’s looking for.

At the end of the show, Ulysse made his decision: Pibal had won his heart.

“During the show, her responses were like, pretty straightforward, and she felt pretty confident every time she says something,” Ulysse said in a post-show interview.

After the couple officially met, Pibal complimented Ulysse’s style and appearance.

“He looks really good,” Pibal said. “I like his style.”

The pair went to dinner at Oliverio’s Ristorante, located at 52 Clay St., on Monday following the show.

Pibal said that she enjoyed her evening with Ulysse.

“Micah was a real gentleman. [He] opened the door for me,” Pibal said. “It was really fun. We had some laughs, told stories, talked. It was a good date.”

Although the date went well, Pibal said that the pair have chosen to remain friends. She said she enjoyed her entire experience being a contestant on the show.

“Ten out of 10, it was such a fun experience,” Pibal said. “Such a good memory to have, fun story to tell. I think it’s something super unique that I’m just really grateful to have been a part of.”
