Morgantown, W.Va - The West Virginia Mountaineers men’s soccer team will face the UNC
Greensboro Spartans on Tuesday, September 17, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in
Morgantown, WV.
This will be the first time since August 30 that the Mountaineers will be back playing at Dick Dlesk soccer stadium after two back to back trips in California playing against California Baptist University and Loyola Marymount University.
Last Tuesday on September 10, the Mountaineers came off its first draw of the season against
Loyola Marymount University finishing the match 0-0. After holding a 9-0 advantage in corner
kicks, the Mountaineers were unable to find opportunities in the back of the net as there were
only five shots on goal.
The UNCG Spartans are currently 3-1-2, with their last match ended in a 0-0 draw to #19
Charlotte.
This will be the second time these two sides play, with the most recent matchup being played
last year as the Mountaineers defeated UNCG 2-1.
