MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – For the first time in program history, West Virginia Baseball is headed to the Men's College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, and U92 The Moose will be there every step of the way.

The Mountaineers punched their ticket to Omaha by sweeping California Polytechnic State University in the NCAA Super Regional, earning the program's first-ever College World Series berth. After falling short in three consecutive Super Regional appearances, West Virginia broke through with two decisive victories over the Mustangs.

WVU outscored Cal Poly 29-3 across the two-game series. During Saturday's clinching victory, Ben Lumsden became the program's all-time postseason RBI leader.

U92 The Moose will provide on-site coverage from Omaha, bringing Mountaineer fans live play-by-play broadcasts, reports, and digital content throughout West Virginia's College World Series run.

West Virginia will open College World Series play against Troy, with both programs making their first appearance on college baseball's biggest stage.

West Virginia natives Quinn Robie, U92's Sports Director, and Brett Berner, the station's incoming Sports Director, will travel to Charles Schwab Field in Omaha to bring Mountaineer fans coverage of this historic journey.

Game times and broadcast schedules will be announced at a later date. Fans can stay up to date by following U92 The Moose on social media for coverage plans and schedule updates throughout the College World Series.

U92 will broadcast every West Virginia game live on 91.7 FM and across its digital platforms, with pregame coverage beginning 30 minutes before first pitch. Listeners can tune in through U92TheMoose.com, Alexa-enabled devices and the TuneIn app.
