Morgantown, W. Va. - The West Virginia Mountaineers (7-2) host the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats (2-7) Saturday evening. Under first-year head coach Darian DeVries, the Mountaineers are off to a hot start on the season, with wins over then-third-ranked Gonzaga, and then-24th-ranked Arizona in the Bahamas. They also took down Big East foe Georgetown at the Coliseum in the Big East-Big 12 Battle.

Director of Athletics, Wren Baker, announced Thursday morning that Rich Rodriguez will become the next head coach for West Virginia. Rodriguez, a native West Virginian, is most well-known for his time at WVU from 2001-2007. In that six year tenure at West Virginia, Rodriguez found some of the most success anyone has ever had as the head coach here at WVU.
