WVU Women’s Basketball hosts Bowling Green Tuesday night

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - The 13th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers (4-0) take on the Bowling Green Falcons (2-2) in the WVU Coliseum Tuesday night. Still undefeated, the Mountaineers have won every game by 21 points or more so far this season.

Led by terrific guards Jordan Harrison, Sydney Shaw and JJ Quinerly, WVU has a high-powered, fast-paced style of play. On defense, they consistently run a high press and force the third-most turnovers in the nation, with 31.5 forced per game.

Star-guard, Quinerly, had her best game of the season last Friday against Texas A&M, scoring 27 points with four threes in the process. Forward, Kylee Blacksten, also had an incredible game, scoring 17 points on five threes in a heat check.

Bowling Green is winless (0-2) on the road this season, losing both games by seven points. They are led by senior guard Amy Velasco who averages 20.3 points while shooting 50% from beyond the arc in four games.

Bowling Green shoots threes at a high clip, hitting 37% of the time on 19 attempts per game. They are coming off a dominant performance against St. Bonaventure, scoring 92 points on 61.8% from the field.

Tip-off in the WVU Coliseum is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and U92 will bring you full game coverage of the event. Tanner Mountz will be on play-by-play, and Nico Caretto will be on color commentary.
