U92 Will Broadcast WVU Football Vs. Penn State

Morgantown, W.Va. (Aug. 24, 2024) - U92 The Moose will broadcast West Virginia University’s first home football game of the 2024 season versus Penn State on Aug. 31, 2024.

West Virginia opened up against Penn State last year but fell short with a final score of 38-15. WVU finished last season with nine wins.

They return many key players and are adding some transfers that look to have immediate impact on the team. Head Coach Neal Brown has attacked the Transfer Portal in the offseason to make the team better.

West Virginia returns star QB, Garrett Greene, who is expected by many to have a big season as the leader on offense. Greene didn’t play in every game last season due to injury but came back and led WVU to many key victories, some of which fans will remember for a while.

West Virginia is coming off of a 30-10 win in the Dukes Mayo Bowl in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Penn State’s last game was a 38-25 loss in the peach bowl to Ole Miss. Drew Allar finished the season with a 60% completion percentage and looks to make that even better.

The Nittany Lions will come into a hostile Milan Puskar Stadium and try and get a win, but for WVU they will try to start their season off 1-0 against a ranked opponent for the first time in a while. This is the biggest game to open up the year for the university for the first time in a long time.

Joey Bray will be on play-by-play for WVU versus Penn State and Quinn Robie will be our color commentator for the game.

Joey Bray is a Senior Sports and Adventure Media student from Morgantown, WV. He has been a part of the U92 sports staff for three years in which he has covered all major sports.

Joey is excited for this opportunity and using his final year at WVU to grow the station even more.

Quinn Robie is a Junior Sports and Adventure Media student from Hurricane, WV. He has been a part of the sports staff at U92 the Moose for three years where he has covered multiple sports for the station.
