WVU Men's Soccer to host Georgia Southern in a top-10 showdown

The West Virginia Mountaineers Men's Soccer team is set to face Georgia Southern University in a much-anticipated top 10 match-up. No. 8 West Virginia is coming off a win against the University of Central Florida and is looking to grab a win from No. 6 Georgia Southern.

They are looking to grab this win with the help of junior forward Pablo Pozos, who last year All-SAC Second team, started all 15 games, and scored nine goals while having one assist, and in 2023 was named South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year.

Georgia Southern is looking to stop the Mountaineers with the help of defender Noah Holmstrom, as he was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the week early in the 2025 season for helping the Eagles to consecutive clean sheets. Forward Louis Tabbed will also help the Eagles, as he was named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week and has proven to be a crucial part of this team.

U92 The Moose will bring live coverage of the game, with U92 Sports Director Quinn Robie on play-by-play and Cody Burton handling color commentary from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4.

Pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage will be brought to you by Ben Stautzenbach, Aaron Pepling, Conor Bratchford, and Dom Brusco. The Pregame show is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The broadcast can be heard locally on 91.7 FM, u92themoose.com, an Alexa At-Home Device, and the TuneIn app on your mobile device.
