West Virginia University’s student radio station, U92 The Moose, will be on-site all weekend to bring listeners coverage of the NCAA Morgantown Regional.
West Virginia University baseball earned the right to host an NCAA regional as the No. 16 national seed, marking the first time the program has hosted since 2019.
The Mountaineers secured the hosting bid after posting a 39-14 regular-season record, highlighted by several key victories throughout Big 12 play. WVU enters the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season as the program continues its pursuit of a first trip to Omaha, Nebraska, and the College World Series.
Joining West Virginia in Morgantown are No. 2 seed Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball, No. 3 seed Kentucky Wildcats baseball and No. 4 seed Binghamton Bearcats baseball.
Regional play begins Friday, May 29, with Wake Forest and Kentucky opening the tournament at noon ET. West Virginia will face Binghamton in the nightcap at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
The NCAA regional follows a double-elimination format, with the winner advancing to the super regional round against the winner of the Los Angeles Regional.
U92 Sports Director Quinn Robie will handle play-by-play coverage alongside incoming Sports Director Brett Berner. The two Hurricane, West Virginia, natives and WVU sports media majors will provide exclusive coverage of the NCAA Morgantown Regional throughout the weekend.
The U92 sports staff will provide pregame coverage of the opening-round matchup against Binghamton. The show is scheduled to begin at 3:40 p.m. and run until 4:40 p.m., leading into a pregame report from Robie and Berner at Kendrick Family Ballpark.
U92 will broadcast every West Virginia game live on 91.7 FM and across U92’s digital platforms, with pregame coverage beginning prior to first pitch.
Listeners can tune in at U92 The Moose, on Alexa-enabled devices and through the TuneIn app.
