WVU Women’s Soccer looks to keep its winning streak alive versus Cincinnati

No. 19 West Virginia (12-2-3) will welcome the University of Cincinnati Bearcats (5-7-6) to Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium for their last Big 12 conference matchup of the season.

The Mountaineers are coming off a 2-0 win versus Oklahoma State University, where they only allowed one total shot all game. Junior forward Abbey Olexa and freshman midfielder Ava Arnold both scored goals for West Virginia in the dominant win, and raised their Big 12 win total to seven.

The Bearcats are coming off a 3-0 win in their senior night game against Iowa State. Senior forward Coley Sidloski had an assist and scored two goals, which were her third and fourth goals on the season.

West Virginia is led by senior forward Taylor White, who is ranked sixth in the Big 12 for goals with 10 and leads the team in assists with eight. Another contributor to this Mountaineer offense includes sophomore midfielder Maddie Levy, who is second on the team in goals with six.

WVU also has junior midfielder Anna Hauer, who was just recently awarded student athlete of the week for her past week’s performance with two assists and one goal in its wins against Iowa State and Oklahoma State.

Cincinnati is led by senior forward Coley Sidloski, who leads the team in goals with four and assists with three while starting all 18 games this season.

Sophomore forward Rylee Felton ranks second on the team in goals with three and is tied for second in assists with two.

Cincinnati has 78 shots on goal this season, compared to its opponents' 90, so matching the intensity of getting quality shots will be key for the Bearcats in this matchup.
