#24 WVU Women’s Soccer closes out home schedule against the Cowgirls.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The No. 24 West Virginia women’s soccer team (11-2-3) looks to do battle for its 11th win of the season as it hosts familiar Big 12 conference opponent Oklahoma State (4-11-2) on Sunday afternoon.

The Mountaineers are coming off a 1-0 win over Iowa State, where Anna Hauer had the lone goal for the Mountaineers, sparking them to victory. Taylor White was credited with the assist as she continues her strong season.

Oklahoma State heads into Morgantown still searching for its first Big 12 win of the year, as it currently sits (0-8-1) in conference play. Their last result was a brutal 1-0 at Cincinnati.

West Virginia will look to protect Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium, where it has been dominant this season, losing just once. The Mountaineers aim for their eighth home victory of the year.

The Cowgirls have struggled on the road, winning just twice away from Stillwater. Oral Roberts and East Texas A&M were the teams OSU has beaten on the road this year.

With only two games remaining in the regular season, WVU has its sights set on securing a top-two seed in the Big 12 tournament, while Oklahoma State searches for its footing in the conference.

In the latest RPI rankings, the Mountaineers sit at No.6 in the nation and trail only TCU as the second-best team in the Big 12 off RPI.

Sunday’s match will honor the seniors who have given their everything to the Mountaineer women’s soccer program; those players include Anna Hauer, Taylor White, and Bailey Herfurth.

U92 The Moose will provide live coverage beginning at 11:30 a.m. with pregame analysis from Dom Brusco, Ben Stautzenbach, Crystal Hanes, and Johnathan Edwards.

Play-by-play commentator Johnathan Edwards and analyst Matt Foley will have the call from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium at 12 p.m. on Oct. 14.

The broadcast can be heard locally and online at U92TheMoose.com, 91.7 FM in the Morgantown Area, The Tune In App, and an Alexa At Home Device.
