Looking to safeguard the longest home winning streak of the Big 12, the West Virginia Mountaineers will host the Baylor Bears at Hope Coliseum. The men’s basketball team is coming off a comeback victory against Kansas State, winning the game 59-54.
This game featured a plethora of contributors for head coach Ross Hodge’s squad, with three players recording 10 or more points. Senior guard Honor Huff once again led the Mountaineers with 17 points, going 5-of-15 on field goals and 2-of-3 on free throws.
Honor Huff is well known for his sharpshooting capabilities. He currently ranks third in the country with 77 3-pointers made. Huff was also named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week based on his performance against Cincinnati and Kansas.
The Baylor Bears are rolling into Morgantown off a 67-57 loss to Cincinnati on Jan.28. The Bearcats have an overall record of 11-9, with a Big 12 record of 1-7.
The series between West Virginia and Baylor favors the Bears with an 18-8 record, with the Mountaineers' last win dating back to March 7, 2020. This game featured West Virginia taking down No. 4-ranked Baylor 76-64.
