WVU Women's Soccer takes on Army in a Saturday clash on the pitch.

WVU women's soccer looks to improve to 4-2 as they are set to host Army on pups on the pitch night at DDSS. The Mountaineers are fresh off a road victory at Dayton where they cruised to a 2-0 win.

Junior forward Abbey Olexa scored both goals for the Mountaineers. All three of her shots were shot on goal as she was the offensive engine for the WVU attack.

Army comes into Morgantown after tying with Maine at two a piece. The Black Knights are off to a decent start at 4-1-1 and they look to gain their fifth victory. Freshman phenom Sophia Henry is red hot to start the year as she already has four goals totaling eight points. She is definitely a name to watch out for Nikki Izzo-Brown.

The Mountaineers are only two games away from Big 12 play as they take on Marshall after this one and then head to Orlando to take on the UCF Knights. It’ll be a great test for this squad as they look to end non conference play on a strong note.

The Black Knights will have a couple more chances to tune up before Patriot League starts play as they head back to West Point to take on North Texas and Princeton before heading to American University.

U92 The Moose will bring live coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. inside the studio with RJ Rice, Conor Bratchford, Dom Brusco,John Doucette, and Ben Stautzenbach then  play-by-play commentator Quinn Robie , along with Andy Hartlove on color will have coverage right inside Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on August 25th.The broadcast can be heard locally on U92themoose.com
