No.17 West Virginia hosts the Cincinnati Bearcats to close out the season

The No. 17-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers (23-6,13-4) are set to host the Cincinnati Bearcats (11-18, 6-11)  to close out the regular season with a chance to share the Big 12 Regular Season title with TCU.

West Virginia comes into this game on fire, winning 6 of their last 7 games. Their only loss came to No. 17 TCU.

West Virginia is led by a stifling defense, which ranks 3rd in scoring defense with under 59 points per game, first in turnover first with over 23 a game, and first in turnover margine with 6.72 per game.

The Mountaineers are led by third-year coach Mark Kellogg, who is looking to lead the team to their second Big 12 regular-season championship in program history. The Mountaineers need to win and a TCU loss to share the regular-season title.

Meanwhile, the Bearcats look to end the regular season strong by picking up their second-ranked win of the season, with their last win coming when they played then No.11 Iowa State, where they won 71-63 at home.

The Bearcats are led by senior guard Mya Perr,y who leads the team in points, averaging close to 18 pp, and star freshman guard Caliyah Devillasee, who is second on the team in scoring, averaging 15 ppg while leading the team in assists with four per game.

West Virginia leads the all-time series 13-to- 5 with the Mountaineers winning 10 in a row. The Mountaineers are 5-1 at home all-time against the Bearcats, with their only loss occurring on Jan 7th 2009 in a 66-point loss.
