Morgantown, W.Va. — The West Virginia Mountaineers (16-9) ( 7-5) are set to clash with Big 12 opponent the University of Utah Utes (9-16) (1-11) at the Hope Coliseum on 2/18/26 at 8:30 p.m.
WVU is coming off a huge 14-point comeback win over the UCF Knights in Orlando, where Honor Huff scored 21 points and was perfect from the charity strip, giving the Mountaineers the edge 74-67.
This game against Utah is pivotal in WVU’s hunt for positioning in the loaded Big 12 standings; the Mountaineers currently sit tied for sixth with BYU, which the two squads are set to face off at the end of this month.
The Utes head into the matchup struggling to find their footing in the packed conference, with only one Big 12 win. They are tied for last with K-State, sitting at just 1-11.
Utah is in the midst of a seven-game skid and hoping to avoid dropping an eighth straight game. They are led by star guard Terrence Brown, who averages 20 points and three assists a game. Keanu Dawes adds a nice presence down low and can contribute on the glass, averaging nine boards a game.
The last matchup between the two schools resulted in a 71-69 victory for WVU; they also swept the series last year.
The Mountaineers will look to defend home court one last time before their road trip to TCU and Oklahoma State.
