Harley Cochran Named as U92’s Station Manager for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

At first, I was hesitant to take on the role because I wasn’t entirely sure what I was signing up for. However, after a great conversation with our station advisor, Eric Nuttall, I realized that I had already been stepping into many of the responsibilities without even noticing.

I’ve been part of U92 since I first enrolled at WVU as a freshman. I explored several departments before finding my place in operations and social media, where I focused on creating our weekly newsletter. During my sophomore year, I became U92’s first Digital Content Director, managing all social media accounts, the Wireless blog, and the newsletter. In my junior year, I was promoted to Operations Manager, a role I continued into the start of my senior year. When unforeseen circumstances left the station without a manager, I naturally began to take on many of those leadership duties.

Leadership has always come naturally to me, but it wasn’t until recently that I seriously considered officially becoming Station Manager. After thoughtful conversations with several department heads and our advisor, I realized that accepting the position would be the best decision for everyone. I’m genuinely excited to step into the role.

U92 has been one of the most rewarding parts of my college experience. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunities, friendships, and community it has given me. In my final year, I hope to continue strengthening that community and building on the legacy we’ve created together.
