U92 Set to Broadcast NCAA Super Regional from Morgantown

U92 will broadcast the NCAA Super Regional live from Morgantown.

West Virginia earned its spot in the Super Regional by winning three games over the final two days of regional play.

After top overall seed UCLA was eliminated by Saint Mary's, WVU secured the opportunity to host the Super Regional and will welcome California Polytechnic State University, commonly known as Cal Poly, to Kendrick Family Ballpark.

The Mountaineers will have their hands full with the Mustangs, who feature two standout starting pitchers.

Carson Turnquist: 9-2, 3.46 ERA, 13 GS, 75.1 IP, 90 K, 38 BB, 53 H, 39 R

Griffin Naess: 8-4, 4.00 ERA, 16 GS, 87.2 IP, 96 K, 32 BB, 82 H, 42 R

WVU enters the Super Regional after dramatically defeating SEC opponent Kentucky. Armani Guzman drove in Brodie Kresser with the game-winning run to send the Mountaineers to the Super Regional.

The Mountaineers are making their third consecutive Super Regional appearance and will host the event for the first time in program history.

Game 1 is scheduled for noon Friday, June 5, and Game 2 is set for noon Saturday, June 6. If necessary, a deciding third game will be played Sunday, June 7, at a time to be determined. The winner of the best-of-three series will advance to the College World Series.

U92 Sports Director Quinn Robie will provide play-by-play coverage alongside incoming Sports Director Brett Berner for Game 1.

Robie will host the pregame show for both games. On Saturday, Berner will handle play-by-play duties and will be joined by incoming Assistant Sports Director Connor Roberts.

If necessary, Robie and Berner will reunite for a winner-take-all Game 3 on Sunday as West Virginia looks to punch its ticket to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

U92 will broadcast every game live on 91.7 FM and across its digital platforms, with pregame coverage beginning before first pitch.

Listeners can tune in on U92 The Moose, Alexa-enabled devices and the TuneIn app.
