WVU Women's Soccer hosts Texas Tech

The West Virginia Mountaineers (10-3-2) are set to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders (11-2-2) in a battle on the pitch, on Thursday October 17th.

The Mountaineers are heading into this game off the heels of a 2-0 victory over the Baylor Bears. The goals were netted by Olivia Schertzer and Dilary Heredia-Beltran which was her third goal on the season. 

For the Red Raiders they also head into Morgantown coming off a 2-0 victory over the Iowa State Cyclones. Macy Blackburn and Ashleigh Williams scored for TTU. Ashleigh Williams now has four goals on the season. 

Texas Tech is currently 3rd in the Big 12 standings and West Virginia is 4th. It will be a key game for the conference and its standings. WVU aims to improve to 5-1-4 in the Big 12 and TTU to 6-1-3 which would surpass the second place TCU Horned Frogs. 

 The Red Raiders and the Mountaineers face off on the pitch Thursday Oct. 17th at 7:00 pm, you can tune in on U92 The Moose. Tanner Mountz will be our Play by Play commentator alongside Lance Jonzen on color commentary.
