MSOC looks to extend unbeaten run to 6 versus Duquesne

WVU is set to host the Duquesne Dukes in the finale of its four-game home stand on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd at 7 p.m.

WVU is coming off a thrilling 1-0 win against the Georgia State Panthers, with the deciding moment coming from a late Panther own-goal. They aim to extend their unbeaten streak to six after an own goal saw them win their Sun Belt Conference opener.

The Mountaineers sit at 4-1-1 overall, with captains Pablo Pozos and Isaac Scheer spearheading their attack early. The pair have combined for 13 points between them through six games.

Pozos was named last week’s Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week for his recent success. He was the conference’s Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.

Duquesne enter this contest undefeated on the season, boasting a 4-0-2 record. The Dukes are also coming off a 1-0 win to open their conference slate as well, with fourth-year midfielder Tyler Kato scoring the deciding goal.

The Dukes are led by third-year forward Marko Rasmussen, who leads the team with three goals on the season. Rasmussen has recorded at least one shot in all games but one this season so far.

U92 will provide live coverage, with Conor Bratchford providing play-by-play commentary and Connor Roberts as the color analyst. The pregame, halftime and postgame coverage will be hosted by Gavin Wheeler along with John Doucette, Ryan Boynes and Ethan Farrell.
