WVU travels to Bank of America to clash against the No. 25 Cavaliers

The West Virginia Mountaineers are packing their bags and heading down to Bank of America Stadium to play the Virginia Cavaliers. West Virginia is coming off a 52-7 win over the UT Martin Skyhawks.

This noontime game featured several Mountaineers contributing to the score, such as quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. with 4 touchdowns on the day. Wide receiver Dj Epps was also able to be productive, demonstrating that he can be utilized in both the passing game and the backfield.

West Virginia's offense has a lot of versatility that can give any defense a headache. Michael Hawkins Jr. put up 2 rushing touchdowns along with 2 passing touchdowns, making him a very capable mobile quarterback that can extend the play when needed.

The currently ranked Virginia Cavaliers are traveling to North Carolina with a 59-3 win over the Norfolk State Spartans. This game highlighted starting quarterback Beau Pribula passing for 3 touchdowns within the first quarter.

Beau Pribula has a very impressive resume as he played for Penn State and was the starting quarterback for the Missouri Tigers. Pribula will pose quite the threat against West Virginia’s defense, as he performs well under pressure and can certainly adjust to any blitz that is thrown at him.

Some key players in the Norfolk State game included running back Xay Davis getting most of the reps. Davis totaled 107 yards on 11 carries, averaging around a first down per snap.

U92 will be traveling to provide live coverage for the game. Sports director Brett Berner will be providing the play-by-play commentary along with color analyst Matt Foley and additional coverage from Connor Roberts.
