U92 Set to Broadcast WVU Men’s and Women’s Basketball Home Games in 2025-26

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — U92 The Moose is set to broadcast all West Virginia University men’s and women’s basketball home games for the 2025-26 season, marking the second straight year the station will provide full coverage of both programs.

Last year marked the first time U92 covered the men’s basketball program, bringing fans numerous top-25 matchups and postseason excitement, including multiple rounds of the NCAA Tournament for the women’s team.

This season, Mountaineer Men’s Basketball will feature a new face on the sideline for the third consecutive year following the departure of Bob Huggins. Texas native Ross Hodge takes over as head coach, retooling the roster and aiming to build on previous successes.

Among the offseason additions are senior guard Honor Huff, who joins from UT Chattanooga after leading the nation in three-pointers made last season, and senior guard Treysen Eaglestaff, who posted multiple 40-point games a year ago.

WVU Women’s Basketball enters the season following back-to-back 25-win campaigns and another NCAA Tournament appearance. Head Coach Mark Kellogg has added key transfers to fill the void left by WNBA-bound JJ Quinerly. Senior guards Jordan Harrison and Sydney Shaw return to lead the Mountaineers once again.

The women’s team tips off the season on Monday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. against Purdue University Fort Wayne. The Mastodons welcome nine newcomers after going 27-9 last season.

Sports Director Quinn Robie will handle play-by-play duties, with Andrew Hartlove joining as color commentator. Matt Foley will host pregame, halftime and postgame coverage starting at 6:30 p.m., joined by Aaron Pepling, Cody Burton and Ben Stautzenbach.

The men’s team opens the Ross Hodge era against Mount St. Mary’s on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. The Mountaineers from Maryland finished 23-13 last season and are coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Join Quinn Robie and Brett Berner for live coverage, with DJ McDermott hosting pregame, halftime and postgame shows beginning at 6:30 p.m. He’ll be joined by Charlie Steensma, Matt Foley and Andrew Hartlove.

Fans can tune in to U92 The Moose throughout the season to catch home broadcasts of both men’s and women’s basketball as the Mountaineers aim for success on the national stage.

The broadcasts can be heard locally on 91.7 FM in the Morgantown area, online at U92TheMoose.com, on the TuneIn app and through Alexa-enabled devices at home.
